‘Fat Barrel’ 1911A1 pattern single action semi-automatic pistol chambered in .38 Super. Manufactured in Hartford, CT circa 1949. Features a matte blued finish with polished flats, 5" ‘fat’ barrel, low-profile serrated ramp front sight, dovetailed square notch rear sight, serrated curved trigger, serrated hammer spur, thumb safety on the left side of the frame, grip safety, push button magazine release, factory 9 round magazine, steel frame, serrated arched mainspring housing, checkered ‘Coltwood’ faux wood synthetic grips with embossed Colt logo. Includes the original factory one-piece brown cardboard box with gold end label, spare magazine, barrel wrench, Colt patch, and reprinted documents. Pistol retains approximately 98% of its original blued finish showing minor edge wear and a couple miniscule spots of light rust on the right side of the flats. The action is mechanically sound, the bore is excellent/bright, and the Coltwood grips are excellent.
